Summer full of fun on offer in Blacon

We have a busy schedule lined up for children and families as part of this year’s Blacon summer programme.

A school holiday packed full of activities for the local community to get involved in will be available throughout the summer. From sports sessions at the KGV Sports Hub to daily fundays at Blacon Adventure Playground, there are plenty of opportunities for youngsters to come together and have fun.

But that’s not all. There will also be forest fun sessions hosted by Countess of Chester Country Park, various interactive sessions at Blacon Library and this year you’ll even be able to take part in Blacon’s one and only Venny Olympics!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our community partners who we have worked closely with to organise the summer programme, including Cheshire West and Chester Council, Blacon Children’s Centre, Blacon Butterflies WI, Holy Trinity Church, Blacon Beacon and the Welcome Network.

We have also had support from community volunteers, local councillors, West Cheshire Foodbank, Aldi, Asda, Tesco, Heron Foods, Spar and Morrisons.

The summer programme is being supported by funding from Avenue Services and the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food programme, distributed through community interest company Edsential.
