New opening hours at Blacon Adventure Playground

Blacon Adventure Playground will now be opening on Saturdays as part of a revised operating schedule.
From Monday 14 September, the playground will be open:
Monday to Friday: 3-7pm
Saturday: 12-5pm
Sunday: Closed
Only groups of six or fewer will be permitted to visit the playground and we will regularly review opening hours to assess demand and ensure we are operating within the latest Government guidelines.
Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “It’s been great to see visitors back at the playground and enjoying the site safely over the last few weeks.
“While opening hours remain limited due to Covid-19 regulations, the revised schedule aims to ensure the playground is as accessible as possible, particularly now schools have returned.”
Extra measures remain in place at the playground to ensure the site remains a safe environment for all.
These include:
- Limiting the number of people allowed on-site and on individual items of play equipment at any one time
- Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of play equipment, toilets and touch points, in line with Public Health gland guidance
- No food and drink allowed on site
- Staff greeting visitors on arrival to check for Covid-19 symptoms and share hand washing and social distancing guidance
- Separate entrance and exit and social distancing markers around the site
