Blacon Adventure Playground spreads festive cheer

Blacon Adventure Playground spread some Christmas cheer by holding a seasonal celebration and delivering some early festive treats to local children.
The playground, which is managed by Avenue Services, has been distributing presents to young visitors and held a special Christmas party on Saturday 18th December.
The activities have been supported by funding from the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food programme, distributed through community interest company Edsential, with additional support from Morrisons and Sanctuary’s local development team.
Sandra Hewitt, Blacon Adventure Playground Manager, said: “It’s great to be able to spread some festive cheer and we’d like to say a big thank you to Edsential for providing the funding through the holiday programme, as well as to Morrisons and our local development team.”
“Everyone had a great time at the Christmas party and we hope that the children enjoy their festive treats.”
Avenue Services, which is a not-for-profit organisation, is a joint venture between Sanctuary Group and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
